BMW M1 1/24 Esci
My first finished model this year. I picked up a used old Esci kit and those kits arent cheap nowdays but this one was, for a reason.
Some of the engine parts was assembled which had to be redone and the big issue was that the front spoiler was missing and the body was the racecar version, not the street version. A common thing in those old Esci M1 street kits. So the wheel arches has to be shaved off and scratchbuilt. Revell has released the (Esci) Procar kit and I used the front end from the Revell kit to build up a new front. I made the spoiler a bit deeper for more aggressive look, and it came out quite well. Well. IŽll let the pictures speak for them selves. No build thread this time. I added some photos of the build and scratch builds but not all. Exept for all those issues its a real nice and detailed kit. If I ever will build this M1 again I will redo the shotlines of the rear hatch and tail lights. Tail lights are a bit too small, but thats another build. /Schnitzermann

Very, very cool! Love it.
I have the same old kit in my stash (together with one of the Esci Procar kits). I have wondered how complicated removing and replacing the Procar fenders from the roadcar version will be- looks like yours came out great.

Re: BMW M1 1/24 Esci
Definitely a great conversion of a long-in-the-tooth kit.
Hey Fujimi, since the Espirit turned out so well...

Re: BMW M1 1/24 Esci
Nice work! That is NOT an easy kit to make look this good! I built one years ago, have another to build to my current standards...someday.

Re: BMW M1 1/24 Esci
You see this old Esci now and then, but I think I never saw it done better.

Re: BMW M1 1/24 Esci
really welldone. I think your front end is even nicer than the original car one.
Not so easy conversion this one. Welldone.
