Re: Talk about Unimogs here
My dad is going to get either a unimog or a pinzgauer. Right now he has a VW Thing, but soon is going to sell it and get one of those too.

my dad used to own a Unimog 411 from 50s or 60s, sold it last year.
(just as a ref) he bought it totally destroyed w/ pneumatic brakes. he built everything up, this thing was totally cool to drive and very practical. hydraulic brakes were installed, later he put a hydraulic something in it. I'm sorry, I don't know the word for it. It kinda transformed in into a dump truck, you could tilt the load area. bought it for like 2g and sold it for 3.5g I think. he sometimes repents that, but now he has an audi convertible as an ersatz cu |

Unimog 411 hydraulic brakes
Since it has been mentioned, does anyone know how to replace/improve the brakes in this Unimog with better hydraulic brakes/complete brake system and if possible from which other vehicle are there any parts compatible for customizing such a solution?
