VW Golf Mk1 GTI Pirelli

I'm back with a new project. This will be build for a Dutch magazine.

It is the newest Revell Golf 1 GTI Pirelli.

It will be a box stock build but the wheels will be replaced for better looking Pirelli wheels from Scale Production. The original wheels look horrible compared to the new ones.

The color will be Helios Blue. An original Pirelli color.

Here are the difference between the wheels.

The body was sanded and I scribed out the panellines. It was ready for paint.

Re: VW Golf Mk1 GTI Pirelli

Well.... its been a while now, but due the I build this model for a magazine I wasn't allowed to post any progress online until the article was published. This week it will be released, so it's time to post my progress online.

First I clearcoated the body with 2k Diamond Clear.

I also completed the engine.

Re: VW Golf Mk1 GTI Pirelli

I just completed the interior.

I added copperwire on the headrests for a bit more detail. The paint is mainly Vallejo Air. I added black interiorflocking. I also added a few extra's on the bench but due a stupid mistake I glued them on the back of the seat. So I had to cover this spot with a big Nintendo box.... Not really what I wanted but I had no choice...
