89 Wrangler Fog lamps dim
Hey guys,
I installed LED fog lamps to replace the stock fog lamps on my 89 Wrangler Sahara. The lights are super bright when the car is off, but whenever running, the lights will sometimes dim (I'll have to post back with a voltage measurement for you guys) Any ideas why this would happen? Resistance in the fog lamp switch? Tired out relay? thanks, Alex

Re: 89 Wrangler Fog lamps dim
It could very well be a resistance issue. You might need to install a resistor. Something else you can try would be to reverse the bulb since LEDs are polar sensitive.

Thanks, reversing the leads shuts off the lamps (diode action). I'm thinking it's probably resistance, the problem is very intermittent and the switch is pretty old. Too bad a new switch is nearly $40
