More 360 modenas ????
Hi Guys (Gals..)
I will be using this space to post info on the progress on the various 360's on my workbench at the moment. Yes VARIOUS cos i kind of went crazy and aquired a whole bunch of them plus transkits and stuff. I have seen tons of great stuff done by you all, and i hope that my efforts are worthy of the space i will be taking up. Also bear in mind that my models are destined to be Slotcars and thus will not be 'complete'...- no complete engines , suspension and less of the regular interiors, but will have metal slotcar chassis and a fair amount of modification. kits- Rennaisance 360gt Lemans 2002 Tamiya / Rennaisance 360 ngt Tamiya / MSM 360 cs pics and short descriptions will follow shortly.....

Re: More 360 modenas ????
Thanks for your kind patience,..... you have a 360 gtc?????
SHOW!! ah by the way heres the first pic. The Body is Resin and I had to thin down the walls in order to make space for the slotcar chassis and in order to save weight . The dremel tool took care of that! Once the walls/panel were thin enough, I cleaned up the 'flash', sanded the body and sprayed on tamiya white primer..... Then the red color was put on and the car was left to dry for a few days..... i would have contiued but had not the time.... are the pics too big???

Heres a shot of the resin body before spraying along with some of the parts that come with the renaissance transkit the quality of the decals is pretty good, so is the detail of the kit. Its a bit more fun than the Tamiya body, rounder , wider.... A shot of the painted body on my messy work bench.... Once the red was dry I masked the body using a copy of the decals set as a template (Tip from ALEX @italianhorses) and sprayed on 3 coats of Tamiya metallic green. The process was repeated for the rear end of the car which was done in Metallic blue. I was not impressed with the overall look of things at this stage,.... but as soon as the decals were applied things really started looking different!! see what i mean? I then went on to scratch build a new front lip as the one that is in the kit seemed a bit thick and was too heavy. I fabricated mine out of a 0.3mm clear plastic sheet which i later also used for the windows..... more to come. are the pics too big???

My Stradale is on the back burner for now, I'm building a couple of other projects for a contest the end of this month. One of them is a Ferrari though!

Egad, you're throwing Parma PSE Flexi 4.5inch chassis under those things?
At least, that's what they look like through the windows. I could be wrong. And I'm not really one to talk, my local slot car track runs a class for heavily modified Parma FCR chassis with bodies done up to look like old short track stock cars. My race body is an AMT 1975 AMC Matador, my dad ran an AMT Late Model Duster, and my teammate runs a Revell 1992 Mercury Cougar. Dad's Duster never made it out of primer (wracked it up HEAVY while trying to figure out the perfect modification to make to the FCR so that his dear son would win races. Thanks Dad.) and my teammate's Cougar is True Blue Pearl. They didn't want to put too much into the bodies because they get torn up. Of course, I can't stand to run an ugly and non-distinct car, so my Matador wears a steel blue and dusty rose two tone paint job with three coats of clear. Though, honestly, it's been banged around so much by now that it's down to one clear coat.
