Have a 82 conv rabbit that the high beams and emgcy flashers work. But the lows beams, horn and turn signals do not. I swapped all fuses and put in new bulbs. with no joy.Any suggestions on where to look. This is my sons car that he just got and i'm trying to get it road worthy.

Re: 82 rabbit elec issues
When I had starting problems in my 82, the mechanic found a loose connection behind the fusebox, above, and to the left of the brake.

Re: 82 rabbit elec issues
I have a 82 diesel rabbit that only has 100,000 miles on it. the bad news is that it worked fine one day without a hitch the next day I went to start it and nothing happened. the door light came on but the door buzzer did not. the panel dosent light up nothing. I was looking through my Haynes manuel and there dosent seem to be any fuses that are attached to the starter switch. anybody got any ideas?
