97 Club Wagon front end shaking

I have a 97 Club Wagon. When you apply the brakes the front end shakes real bad. This has been going on for some time. I tried replacing the front pads and realized that both rotors were cracked and had to replace them. So now with new pads, rotors and tires it still shakes. The abs light came on recently so I checked the fluid and it is fine. Any ideas?

Re: 97 Club Wagon front end shaking

Your ABS braking system needs some work. If one side is braking at 20 cycles per second and the other isn't it could make the front end shake. If you have over 100k miles I would be looking for worn front end parts such as ball joints and control arm bushings. Can you take it somewhere that does work on ABS systems and front ends? I am wondering why your rotors were cracked? Maybe the caliper is sticking and they are heating up a good deal.

Thanks, That would make sense. I will find somewhere to take it.
