Progress: 1/24 Ferrari F430 Challenge
Hi Guys, …so first wip, first Ferrari ever, I do not know WHEN/HOW/IF I’ll be able to complete it, but let’s proceed.
Fujimi kit with Crazy Modeler F430 photoetched set (Note: I understood they’re developing a specific set for the Challenge only) I’m not sure about the livery but the model will have slick tires. To do so, I sanded away the inner radial dent from all the rims. Tires come from a Tamiya Alfa 155 DTM. Rims are too bright, later on I’ll tone them down with Gloss Aluminium The kit features many updatings respect the street version, the black one are the new brake discs To have an idea about the box-stock stance, I quickly assembled undercarriage, hub and wheels. Stance looks correct in my opinion, despite I’ll probably lower it a bit There are two racing seats in the kit; looking at my ref photos, I do not understand why Fujimi included the seat’s back shell, I won’t install it and I’ll cover the back with carbon fiber decals Rollcage well replicated, the tubes look somewhat small Bye: Roberto |

Go Robi GO!! Can't wait to see that beast come over your garage!!
Any project regarding lifting pistons? I seen a picture of the presentation's car raised from track with the right camber set-up... amazing and pretty easy to do trought alu tubes or by lathe. BTW those fujimi rims seem not bad.

Re: Progress: 1/24 Ferrari F430 Challenge
Those Fujimi wheels realy do look nice, at first glance I thought you got some alu extra wheels.
Now you got me thinking of buying this kit but I think I will wait for Technomodel version of a race car. Don't put it a side, I would love to see it finished. |

Re: Progress: 1/24 Ferrari F430 Challenge
erm rob just a question... are the grills on the car molded with holes like the ones on the spider version? or are they filled up like the standard 430 kits?

Re: Progress: 1/24 Ferrari F430 Challenge
Crazy Modeler has discontinued this set but they are going to release a new improved version. No ETA yet though.

Re: Progress: 1/24 Ferrari F430 Challenge
Hi and thank you for the feedback !
Gionc, you mean this, yes I thought about… …but I’m also thinking to an ex-works version, like this one Gamerxz, this is what I found in my set, but as Ron said CM is working to a new set. They’re very active and it could be the next set will contain details for all the 430 versions Bye: Roberto |

They look good enought that I don't feel the need for P/E. I'm going to spend my time doing a clean OOB buildup, but I am going to make working air jacks on mine (not air-powered, but displayable either up or down).
