Definitely still there.
I've got a crazy plan to try and make something happen with it. >8^) ER |

I do know more, but am not at liberty to say much. The owner wishes to remain private and has been very kind through emails so far.
I suspect #043 will not remain hidden forever like it was in Japan though. I think #068 may be in Mexico, but heard conflicting info through a credible source that the car may have been purchased for a friend of the name we know, and that it stayed in California perhaps. >8^) ER Last edited by Peloton25; 09-11-2011 at 08:24 PM. |

Thank you Erik
If you can share here or by mail on #043 history. It would be great to rule out or not this possibility for one or two F1 in France Phil |

I can share here. The car has had two owner's - Mr Sayama in Japan, and now it's new UK owner. The car was purchased just a few months ago and went direct from Japan to the UK.

Re: Recap of the English F1 fleet - Take 2...
Technically every F1 was in England at some point....
p.s. that photo of 22R is at Duncan Hamilton. Makes sense since Adrian has been so active in trying to get all those Gulf cars |

I do hope #043 remains the way it is and isn't refitted. It's already unique in itself.
Nice to see another car returning to the UK though |

Re: Recap of the English F1 fleet - Take 2...
The new owner of #043 appears to very much repect and appreciate the unique history of his F1 road car. I think it is very fair to say we won't be seeing any dramatic changes made to that one for as long as it is in his care.

Re: Recap of the English F1 fleet - Take 2...
Hopefully this is a simple question: When you say #020 is almost certainly the mileage leader, any idea how much it has done? (rough idea of course, I don't expect an exact number!)

Re: Recap of the English F1 fleet - Take 2...
60,000 - 70,000 miles would not be a surprise on #020 - maybe more.
One interesting story I heard in Monterey is that the new owner of #046 has been driving it so much that he actually became the first owner ever to exceed the mileage interval for a service before he'd reached the time interval that McLaren recommends. >8^) ER |

Re: Recap of the English F1 fleet - Take 2...
Thanks for the effort, Erik!
These threads are always good for a little 'stir&shake', to get everybody's knowledge updated again. Especially my own....serves as a 2nd reminder that there are indeed 2 black ones with black rims. So, I'm counting 28..... Nice Like the 1st pic of LM3, it's new to me. Guess that one should go into the thumbnail-request thread?? Never know what lurkers might come up with?? |

If it happens, you'll know about it.
Wheels are in motion - I don't have a ton of confidence though. >8^) ER |
