Very clean execution Peebo ! I love it.

Decals are printed by Cartograf, is it correct?

Actually, I've just realised there is the 'New Man' version, could I do that one instead? http://public.fotki.com/grdeyed/car_.../img-9676.html

Mike
I was going through my pictures today and found two shots, both taken in a burst, that are sadly out of focus and behind a fence. MAYBE you can find something useful though

I'm curious: may I ask what those red "C" on number plates stand for?

It's the letter C in the Cayman font. It was a designator for the Interseries Cayman class,
they made us stick them on the last time we raced at Sebring. I hate the way they look, not all Caymans had them in the last race so I may peel mine off until they make me display one again. I have to find out if that was just the deal at Sebring, or if that what we need to display in the HSR series.

Re: Cayman Interseries | modern racers with historic liveries

Hey guys. I went out and bought the Cayman kit yesterday and had a first look through the parts. The kit is quite nice....but now i realized the Interseries cars are the facelifted versions.....so i have to make some changes. New rear lights, new head light internals, new front bumper and possibly more......bummer! Oh...and new scratchbuilt rims as well...not to speak of that stripped out interior...sigh!

One question: which slick tyres do you use to replace the threaded kit tyres?

Damnnn!!!! I recognized just now. Facelift wouldn't be so difficult to manage, but now I'm SURE my decal set is wrong in the front air vents!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well Paolo, the job on tailights looks not a nightmare: just a transparent decal inside may fix the trouble. But the facelift.... I taken some measurements from this pict

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2646/...df0188dd3c.jpg

and looks like the whole different shape is thing of few millimeters in 1/24... looks like the side vents would be narrowed and those circle light would be moved a couple mm aside..

Hello guys,

we have been aware of that from the very beginning of the group build and decided purposely that we are not going to make up a fecelift version! We didn't know back then what kind of a rocket this thread would become eventually and thought that we'd rather build them on the "old" Cayman body in order to have them finished by November. Remember, this started out as a side project only.

Joachim, if you want to build a facelift body please go ahead - but please be so kind and send the body to the master caster (Mike) before you paint it! This way we could provide a facelift transkit for the Fujimi kit. Thank you very much in advance!

Cheers and happy modeling
Sebastian
