Hilarious pic cinqster. What is that all about?
Indeed, very interesting to see the variations in Gulf Blue used.

The styrene "hinges" are cut from sheet, correct? How are they attached to the opening and to the door itself?

New to AF so only just seen your Porsche for the first time, simply stunning I would love this in my collection. Well done, I know the effort it takes to produce work like this.

Re: Steve McQueen's "Le Mans" Porsche 917K

Hi RallyRaider,

I'm very interested in the details of how you hinged the engine lid. I can see the small brackets added to the lid's existing pins with the length of wire between them, but am wondering if you have any further pics or insight to offer as to how you created the hinge piece attaching to forward part of the body shell above the firewall.

I also am building the HRM engine for the car and would definitely appreciate any info you can provide.

Thanks very much and beautiful work!

Re: Steve McQueen's "Le Mans" Porsche 917K

Hi,

Wonderful build!
The best 917 build I've ever seen!

BRAVO!

I really love the Jaguar too.
What kind of material was used to realize thz safety belts?

Pascal

P.S: I have a request about one of my WIPs, from a member to a moderator... How can I contact you?...
Thanks in advance.

Is the Porsche crest decal original to the car? I remember the black lettering as more recent
