question on E39 torque vs E60

I used to have a 2001 BMW M5 with a bunch of Dinan stuff. Had to sell it to go back to school.

The E39 has 368lb-ft if I remember correctly. The new one doesn't have much more.

My question is how much faster will it feel? Torque is what pushes you in the seat and unless the gearing is more aggressive (which it might be with 7 gears).

Comments?

I do miss my M5. Shitty corvette.

The gearing of the 7 speed transmission helps keep the engine in its powerband. M5s seem to become less raw with each new generation so the feel of speed is diminished.

I would love to have a new aluminum Corvette Z06
