Smile 98 amigo 2.2l 5 speed 2wd-coolant loss

just bought car-former owner mentioned that he had head gasket replaced recently. loses coolant, no water in oil, no leaks, smokes a little on startup-driving me nuts--is this anything specific to this make?--help

I have a 1994 Amigo that was having the same problem. If you will look where you heater hoses come out of the firewall there are 2 of them one of them goes to the intake manifold. I checked this one on mine and guess what? I found a leaking hose. I also noticed before I took it off the was a small pool of water on the intake manifold.. It had a pin hole in it so there would be no noticeable water loss. Also the end near the manifold where the clamp was has a bubble swell. Hope this helps you, I found this solution online by typing in my search parameters in on google.
