Re: Whats the coolest car you've ever driven/ been in

First itme being in a Jaguar, and I drove the X-Type. What was the interior like you say? Dismal. What about the response? Laggy. Well it must have been a nice 5 speed right? No, it was the dreadful automatic J-gate shifter. But hey, at least the outside was nice. Now i fianlly get why this car was a flop. You could get a 3 series and and have the cache of a BMW, handeling of a BMW, and luxury of a BMW. Jaguar you have the cache of a Jaguar, handeling of a Jaguar, interior of a Ford. The X-Type was hands down the worst luxury car I've ever driven. And that includes Buicks.

I don't care who started this thread. Be selective in what you post here.

Re: Whats the coolest car you've ever driven/ been in

Back when Chevy was designing the ZR1 Corvette, they shoehorned a Ferrari turbo V8 into it to do chassis tuning and to see how the car responded to gobs of power. This was before the special ZR1 engine was off the drawing board. You remember those ZR1 spy shots where it had the giant bulge in the hood? That was it. My neighbor's son worked for Chevy and gave me a ride in it. It was pretty cool!

Re: Whats the coolest car you've ever driven/ been in

Last night my BMW dealership had it's grand opening/launch of the new 2007 BMW X5 (looks great by the way, especially in 4.8 trim). And so they had VIP cars have the option of being wahsed for free. So I drove a Mercedes CLK320 coupe and a 2007 Escalade. Both were nice, but that Escalade is so freakin big I thought the car wash wouldnt be able to operate around it.

Re: Whats the coolest car you've ever driven/ been in

Drove a 2003-ish Mercedes C240 and was surprised with how nice the interior was. BUT, heres the kicker that makes just about all my previous posts look (apart from the BMW M6's, M5's, 760Li's, rides in the Porsche 911 and Ferrari 360 coupe, etc.) like crap.

2006 CLS55 AMG (ohh shit son)

My impression of the 2006 CLS55 ///AMG as compared to a 2006 BMW //M5:

Like the BMW M5, it is very responsive and has more than sufficient power (469 I think, vs. the M5's 500). But it feels so much less hurried than the M5. It drives like and normal 5 Series (never driven an E-Class, so thats the closest I've gotten) but you and it both know you could blow the doors of 90% of the cars on the road. Whereas the M5 wants to be driven fast and acts much differently from a 5 Series, even a spec'd out 550i with SMG III.

My uncles ’74 Cadillac Eldorado convertible. He would let me and my brother barrow it for the weekends. Until he traded it in for a ’97 Ford Ranger, we still haven’t forgiven him.

So... coolest ride? i would have to say it was in a 1964 Pontiac LeMans 2 dr. 326 cu in. wehn i was going way to fast on a gravel road, slid off, went air born over a rock that was shaped like a ramp, went thru the air turning upside down in the air , and landing in a stream along the road on the top. Great fun!

Haha yeah dude, it was a funny. Sorry for the confusion. I was just making a "humorous" observation of your car flipping situation by equating it to them Duke boys and the shanannagins they got into. We can still be h0meb0yz right?
