Re: 2007 Honda RS250RW Scot team/Dovisioso (Hasegawa)

Hi John, Thanks for looking in!
The frame and swingarm are Tamiya TS-17 gloss aluminum.
The body panels are Tamiya TS-14 black and TS-16 yellow, a
perfect match for the yellow in the decals.
One other quick note: I used .015" lead wire from a fly-tying shop
painted flat black, for some of the wiring. A local friend suggested
it, and it's great for complex wiring that needs to look natural.
(the thin "plastic wire" from TopStudio does not lay down nicely, imo)
All cables/brake lines are either TS .5mm wire, or stretched heated shrink tube. Love that stuff Zip ties on the breather reserve are 1/64 Chartpak tape.
Hope that is useful
Marco

Excellent info Marco
Thanks for all the details - I will have to look for that "lead wire" you used. I have the Top Studio detail set - still have to order the chain - I plan on doing the 2009 "Scot" team black and silver bike - I still have to get my build jig design scanned so I can send it to you - and find someone to machine the bits
I hate those TS chains - I've got two in production, but every time I get one side completed and go to flip the chain jig over to do the links on the other side, the side plates all fall off and make a mess of things because the A&B links get mixed up - A real pain in the a** if you know what I mean - you said you used X-22 acrylic painted on to hold every thing together and I will give your method a try when I get back to the chains again. They definitely are tedious to build - but they do look the part better than the plastic chain and sprockets. And the chains are necessary for any build here in the Forum because you and Sandro threw down the gauntlet using them so any build without one is "sub-standard" if the chains are available for the kits - lol
Thanks again for the details
John

John, we should talk re the chain building at some point...
I finish one side, add ALL the jig layers to it, then clamp it
with 2 pair of tweezers, one at each end, before turning it over
and beginning the other side... Hope that helps.. I do not always
follow the TS instructions literally :¬)
