Location Blend Door 95 accord?
I've been informed by my local ac guys that since I have now spent money on freon and it's staying in the system, I probably have a bad blend door motor. Basically it seems like the heater is in the 'hot' position at all times, which is kinda nice in the winter, but......does anyone know where this animal is located and what it looks like and if perhaps it can be bypassed for the summer? Or, God forbid, purchased and replaced?

Is the temp knob hard to turn? You need to check the water valve underhood near the firewall. It's on one of the heater hoses. You need to make sure it moves both ways freely.

Re: Location Blend Door 95 accord?
Yeah, I STILL haven't fixed it, but it is getting hot here. The temperature control knob is kinda easy to move and when I look under the hood I can manually move the valve in one of the heater hoses but nonetheless, when the AC is on, only a bit of hot air comes out.
So is the blend door vacuum or electrically controlled? Any idea where under the dash to begin looking? |
