06 Mustang Question

Any ideas on how I could cleanly cut this bottom grille out?

Anything will help.

Remove material slowly from the rear (back side) by sanding or grinding.

Lambo's idea will work perfect. Although I did mine by doing the following:
I used a pin-vise and drilled about six holes, 3 on top and three on the bottom and used a new #11 blade and cleaned out the rest. I then used a needle file to sand it smooth.:

Always more than one way to skin a cat so to speak.

Yup! sure is!

That's the great thing about these forums! You get several perspectives and then can pick & choose which one ya feel comfortable to go with.

Nice clean grille work there BTW!

On the front side, just anywhere as long as you get them close to eachother. This way you have some of the material removed and you can get your exacto blade to start removing the rest of the material.
Just be careful not to get too close to the seperator bar. Take your time and go slow.

Whenever I take the doors or trunks or grillz etc. off of my cars, I use a needle...and sort of needle really but a good one. My exacto knife kit comes with pin shaped heads that attach to the knives. I guide the pins across where i want the plastic cut. I repeat this process many times, and you can see the plastic "shaving" off everytime you scrape at it. It works great, i do it all the time. Eventually it will go through and then just use and exacto knife to continue the rest of the way, and use sanding paper to smooth it out
