Re: Re: turbo scam
I lost the bid, the winning bidder bailed out so I offered him $2300 for the turbo kit. So I did it outside of ebay. I paid him with a money order. Tomorrow I'm calling the Tacoma police department to see if they could help me.

Re: Re: Re: turbo scam
Please if someone can help me who lives in Washington. The guys name is James Gefeller. He told me the turbo kit got lost in the mail, I doubt it. He also told me he would give me a tracking number but when he actually sent it he said he forgot. I want my money or turbo kit back. I'm not about to give away $2300

That's a scam a lot people do. The try and convince you to buy "outside of ebay," trying to site "benifits" or "reasons" whyit needs to be done. If you saw it on ebay, never, ever ever buy it outside of ebay from the seller, even if they tell you it needs to be done. Often they know darn well Ebay will help you get your money back, as will pay-pal. With a money order it's more perminant, so more often than nont when they scam the person they can keep the money without ever giving away the product. This scam people pull on ebay is bad enough now the news even did a report on it. Remember, if you saw it on ebay, either buy it THROUGH ebay or don't buy it. Ebay will help you get your $$ back from scam artists like this. If you do it outside ebay, you are on your own. The scam-artists know this, and this is one reason they try and convince you to buy outside ebay.
You can try also filing a report/complant with the Washington State Attorney Generals office.

fbi
I usually email the guy saying I'm going to contact the FBI's division of internet fraud.
http://www.ifccfbi.gov/index.asp That usually scares them a little. Contacting local police also helps. If he can provide proof of shipping you are screwed, but if he can't then send his ass to jail. Good luck |
