Moving steering box behind front axle, 70's truck
Has anyone had experience in moving/installing a rear steering box, I think that is what they call it if I am not mistaken. Right now I am in the research phase of my build. This is a custom truck mid 70's Chevy truck front frame/ 40's ford from the front of the cab back (please no hate, this is how i inherited it). In an effort to try and clean up the engine compartment I would like to move the steering box to behind the center line of the front axle, if that is possible. Hopefully that will also allow me to re mount the Pontiac sunfire (again please don't hate) steering column to a more vertical position as it was originally.
Thanks Mike. |
