Re: Car modeling... confessions
I'd rather restore an old builtup than start a fresh, sealed kit.

Re: Car modeling... confessions
Sometimes I wish all my kits would burn so I don't have to build them.....then I think I'm going to live another 225 years to actually build them all.

Re: Car modeling... confessions
I have a toolbox full of aftermarket bits and pieces and I like to examine each and every packet under a magnifying glass. I know... Really sad

Re: Car modeling... confessions
when i get lazy to polish a paintjob, i just paint it in matte.
i'm guilty also of spraying the underside and all the related parts in just one color (usually semi-gloss black) when i feel lazy.

I use photoshop.....
I have a fascination for Model Factory Hiro kit even through I don't have the money to have them all and I have yet to build one. (5 in my stack...)

Re: Car modeling... confessions
Sometimes I download hundreds of photos of a car, and spend months watching on ebay for just the right model at just the right price. I buy it.
But as soon as it arrives, I put it on the shelf, and start dreaming/researching about another car... |

Re: Car modeling... confessions
I spend more time on AF than working on my models.

It looks to me like we are all just one person, posting under a bunch of different names...... Every one of these previous posts could have been from me...
Spooky that we are all so similar |

Re: Car modeling... confessions
I sold the majority of my collection a few years ago only to buy a good portion of the same kits back. Wheels especially.
I have more wheel sets than I have projects to put them on.

Re: Car modeling... confessions
I have a decal fetish, Anyone else have this problem?? You know, you have the kit and the aftermarket decals but it has been a few years sitting in the closet so when the decal set is re-released because the kit has been re-released you buy another set of decals because the other set is old and you are not sure if it will be any good in ten years when you might get around to building the kit. Or you think, "I should get a spare set of decals just in case",,,,, I have spare sets of decals for spare sets of decals if that makes any since.
