anyways the new ZO6 is a very bad ass car but doesnt the regular C6 have 450hp and the Z06 has 505hp. thats weak! i know their are many other things that make the ZO6 perform better but come on...550hp is justifiable.

for $70k i would buy a E46 M3 for $40k used, $10k in the Z32, $10k for a slightly used Aprilia RSV 1000R, and the other $10k for a downpayment on a house with atleast a 3 car garage in the country on atleast 1 acre of land.

the revised american dream!

also, i would probably buy DZ a new clutch!

wow, thats almost identical to what i would do. i would get a GSX-R 750 instead of the Aprilia though.

Yes they are damm fast cars but there are other cars that are jsut as good, if not better.

1. save ceaser's life
2. do the wild monkey dance with cleopatra
3. see the birth of jesus
4. fight off a dragon and ball guinivere @ king Arthur's crib
5. knock paul revere off his horse, giz on him, and take all the credit for telling everyone that the british are comming
6. if I have enough plutonium left over I suppose that I would go to the future to see if Wes actually gets a zed

When I say "if I had 70 grand to spend and wanted a new car", that's what I mean...I already would HAVE the nice house and other stuff to drive and a bad Z and all that stuff.

Hey rocker...funny you say that you'd rather have a viper...pick up this week's Car and Driver...they test the new Z06 against...you guessed it...a new viper. There isn't any way that a Corvette will ever be all that a Viper is in some ways, but I'm not gunna tell you who wins...all I'm gunna say is that it wasn't even close...

I saw it, the z06 won... it has the same horse and torque, but it weighs less, so it beat it in accel... I don't member the 1/4 mile times, but I'm sure it won there too, I was really dissapointed

I really was shocked...thought the Viper would definately lose in the streetability part but it would kill the vette on the track. Not the case.

Even though it'll never have as big of an engine, factory sidepipes that will burn your skin or the brutal image that the viper has (not to mention the utter COOLNESS of the Viper), the Z06 is just the new hotness...it earned it...

I've liked the viper for as long as it's been out so it almost made me sad how bad the Viper got it's ass kicked. It lost in 0-60, the 1/4 mile, streetability, on the track, all of it. There was only one thing that the viper did AS WELL as the corvette in, but that was the best it could do. And, to add a little salt to the wound, the Vette is waaaaaay cheaper...

^yea that's what got me too, and it gets better gas mileage... I think dodge should definitly lighten it up a bit if they can, and give it some more horses if possible, I mean it already handles as well as a vette, but I mean they're gonna' loose more potential buyers if they don't do something quick... I'm sure the gearing may be going in the vette's favor to, so the viper prolly has a higher top speed, but I'm really dissapointed too....

motor trend did a comparison between the C6 ZO6, Viper SRT-10, and the Ford GT. although the ford cost 3 times as much as the vette, the vette was only .1 second off the ford in the 1/4 mile. amazing. not only that, but i bet you could of never seen this coming, but the ford broke down during the comparison, hahahahaha.
