Glasspack help

Today I bought a Thrush glasspack for my 1987 Grand Marquis. I do not know much about exaust systems, but my friend told me it is very easy to install this.....all I have to do is un-clamp the old muffler and put this one in...is it really that simple?

Why don't you look under the car and see. I don't know anything bout mercurys but if you see a clamp that holds the stock muffler to the main pipe then your friend is right. Just look and think about how your muffler would fit and if it is reasonable. Don't be afraid to get your hands dirty here. Just start undoing things that look like they hold the muffler on then reverse to process for your glasspac.

Good Luck
