thats just how it came from what I understand JDM engines for the most part come in pretty bad shape
most all sensers have been replaced cap/rotor/ and the coil in the dis was broke Knock senser was broke the throttle body was bent up the list goes on... I have a LS trans swap in place of the stock B16a trans so I can get some what of a good MPG in the next few months Im adding the draggen 3 turbo kit I see that you have the kit with it can you keep the stock A/C? he did not put the AC back on he pulled the lines out but I have a black car and really want it becuase summer time sucks plus I have no sunroof or power anything good ole civic DX also whats your 1/4mile times do you have any before and after? Dig your cool hood prop
I bet your radiator hoses are too small, you need a del sol radiator and hoses to make it fit right. good luck

Boost gauge? yeah Im turboing it in the next 2-3 months I knew with the new engine I would want a tach "DX does not come with one" and also a oil pressure gauge while I was at it since I had to cut drill and paint the whole pannel why not do it all at once? it would have been such a pain to do it then to have to redo it just to add a boost gauge a few months later
the stock Rad from 92-95 Civics are the same size as the B16a cars the GSR engines have bigger rads but not the B16a engine the car was started up today everythings on track found a small water leak on the intake but that should be fixed now from swaping the part with a new one as far as 1/4 mile times check out SCCM they did a B16a swap with a HB 92-95 and with just header exhuast and intake it ran 14.8 I've been aiming for high 14s and Im almost fully sure it will get it top end should be pretty sick but the B16a lacks torque so from a rolling start I should have a very fast car I love the stock cast exhuast man its a 4 to 1 header like exhuast man its great looking =) anywho so far things are still on for tonight unless it still runs crapy "JDM engines come in really crapy cond...." as the pics show and yes that works great for holding the hood up plus it looks good =) lol "well its not really holding it up its just pulled out of the way" Jeff |
