Major turbo pros:

*Easiest adjustabilty FALSE You can adjust both with a knob.
Show me a S/C that you can adjust the boost on, on the fly, over a wide psi range, from inside the cabin, at the turn of a knob...

*Less moving parts FALSE A VG30DETT has 4 Moving parts and a Screwtype 3
4...how do you get 4? You referring to the wastegates? Either way...I was referring to single turbo applications. Thanks for thinking for a second and, instead of giving me the benefit of the doubt, making me type this.

*Simpler FALSE
How do you figure? There's a whopping *ONE* moving part...

*Higher VE good point
Lower Delta Temp good point
Ehh....

*Easer to install good point
Why do I have to worry about installation of a S/C when I BUY MY CAR with a turbo? Null point.

Actually, there are more than one in the U.S. Still not many...only...8 shipped in 1988, but who knows how many there are now for sure, how many TOTAL were brought, or where they are...there is more than 1, though.

Anyway...read up.

What the HELL difference does it matter if I've seen one or not? Bet you haven't seen one of those Mercedes or Jags you mentioned. What's it matter? That mercedes is far from production so I wouldn't even count that...but what ever. And...for the record...it is legal to have them here...as long as they're for "display purposes only". And...you won't believe this, I'm sure, but it doesn't matter...I *DID* see one at a Barett Jackson auto auction in West Palm Beach, FL. I almost shit myself.

Here's a link with a list of some extremely fast Z32s. Some TT's in the 10s. Also go to SGPRacing.com and find Kyle's car in the "customer's rides" section. He's got a daily driver running 10s with a full factory interior. I also have some fast ass Z31Ts, but we'll stick to the Z32s in question right now.

Your statment:
-I don't know of many S/C'd cars that are even noteworthy.
-
-I could name 100's if not more. Can you?

You first.

-About half of what you said isn't noteworthy. Please backup your
-statments so we all my learn.

Don't be like that...if you doubt something, bring it up when you read it and I'll show you where I got it...not now like "nothing you say matters". If you want to play like that, fine...I'll drown you in fact, links and resources if that's what you want. In the mean time, ask me for resources and you shall recieve.

See the last line in my last post..."If you like S/Cs, hey...go for it...they work...turbos and S/Cs are for the most part just different means to an end, but they're NOT the best way to do it."

Thanks delerious. I have no clue what you're talking about regarding the 600 hp Z, though....

Here is the intended link. Gotta love that 11 sec run with stock turbos, huh? Few guys on there running 10s as well.

LLZ better go back to your post that I posted also. The 10 sec. cars are with power adders, look at the next group, stock TT's 11.61. Correct me if I'm wrong, but we were talking about stock turbo'd Z32's. Then the subject of 9-10 second cars on the street came up, and I said it's very hard to drive and keep a 9-10 sec. car on the street. I said I've never seen or heard of a 9-10 sec.Z32 with stock turbo's. And the fact of the matter I still haven't. Kyle's car isn't a stock turbo Z32.
As for manual control waste gates and dump valves they have been around almost as long as I have. The new ones for superchargers are controled via throttle setting and manifold pressure. The one I have is a Moon Engineering manual boost control. I don't even know if they still make them anymore.

Higher VE, and lower delta temp. Unless you've read the posts about turbos and superchargers you wouldn't understand.

As for being easer to install, appearently you haven't changed a turbo yet.

As for only one 959 in the USA, at last count that was it, and it was purchased in Germany for 1 million and the US government wouldn't allow it in the country except for showing and as a collector car. Read the story. The guy baught 8 of them and shipped 7 back to Europe, that leaves 1. 8 -7 =1. The ones you see now ARE NOT original 959 but models built for the US market.

And if you'd like the name of the guy that baught my 911 Ruf I'd be more than happy to give you his name and phone number, and I still have my old reg. and plates off it if you'd like to see them. lol

As for the Mercedes and Jag, I've see them both. As for noteworthy supercharged cars, I just named 2 plus the Marmon meteror driven by Ab Jenkins. Thats 3 very famous supercharged cars. There's more famous turbo'd cars but I want you to name a few. Now were talking about famous not popular, cars that are in record books or museum's and have become noteworthy. Like Mickey Thompson's 4 engine streamliner, supercharged. I'd give you some hints but I want you to do your homework

Please drown me in facts, thats what I've been trying to say. People say this and that but don't back up what they say. Or take things and twist it around to suit there needs, and can't back it up.

When I say most of your statments aren't noteworthy, neather are mine unless I can back up what I say, they aren't unless you can back them up with facts. Like something you've done yourself, or something read printed by someone with authority.

As for Kyles SGPRacing car, It isn't a stock turbo'd car. It's loaded, and he has the ability to keep it maintained and tuned to a nats ass. If he didn't it wouldn't be running. You could drive a Indy car on the street if you wanted to spend the rest of your life keeping it tuned.

I know...and it's so hard to just leave when people come at me...then come at me...then come at me...then come at me...that just drives me nuts for some reason...especially when they just unload continual amounts of bullshit. That's why I managed to go on for 13 pages with some dousche bag regarding mustangs and the 350...THAT got WAY out of hand...won't do that again...can't...don't have the time. I would love to sit here and debate and argue and go back and forth an make another 13+ page thread, but I'm far too busy now to do that...I just got home from work (9 pm) and I went to work at 8 pm. Gotta work to get the cash so I can quit bitching at you on here and simply come run your ass off the track...WITH MY TURBO. For this reason, I try to just let shit go, but when people make dick head comments like what's below, it seriously pisses me off.

Thanks for the math refresh, dick. Prick ass comments like "8-7=1" is what I don't tolerate.

This is done.

Sorry but when someone says there's more than one then posts a web that tells the story of how 8 were shipped but 7 were returned, just wanted to make sure you understood, dick. Truth hurts don't it?
