please help me buy this car
hey everyone~ this is dave from MD
I have a few questions about the 300zx as you can see from my login name that I basically play around with Hondaz But because of some insurance issues I must sell my beloved S2000. So I came across a 1993 N/A Z with Magnaflow cat back exhaust system and a pioneer 6-screen headunit (black/tan). Itz an automatic and has 57000 miles in it. So here are the questions: 1. He wants 14,500 for it. Is this a good price? the car is in good condition (few dings) 2. I hate automatic!! How much for a manuel transmission swap? 3. Whatz the difference between a N/A and a Turbo? I want to get twin turbo but will that be possible? Is it worth it? 4. I've found out that there isn't much mods for N/A 300zx (hell all the body kitz are for 2+2 and not any for a coupe) So what are some mods you can do to a N/A 300zx? If there are otherz who are trying to buy a 300zx and have concerns like me please inform me of you concerns too. I'm sure I'd love to hear em. -Tuner :smoker: |

I suggest you not get it...if you want a TT just get one...but the insurance problem will probably stop you from doing so.
14.5 is way too much...he's smoking crack. Auto...eh...dont get this car. Mods for a NA Z... Intake Headers Exhaust ECU Cams Clutch Flywheel Underdrive Pulley then... Port/Polish Heads Stronger Pistons and Rods to raise compression and not be neglected... Suspension work...either spring shock combo or coilovers Sway bars Strut bars Polyurethane bushings Brake work...plenty of options in the brake category... TT Brakes Skyline GTR Brakes Brembo's Stillen's Look around on the first 5 pages in this forum...there's lots of good info and you would have found your answers had you looked...
