Non-OnStar phone service provider
Is it possible for a local cell phone service provider to give me sevice on the integrated phone in my new Saab 9-3 Arc? The local Verizon person told me it was possible as long as I got the "programming instructions" from Saab. I've called the Consumer Service Center but they will not provide the needed data. My guess is because since Saab and OnStar have some deal together and OnStar makes a killing being the service provider, it doesn't want to give up the business. Why would this be any different than if I walked in Verizon with a cell phone in my hand and wanted service? Shouldn't the local foks be able to get what they need looking at the car?
