You know your a Max driver when the first thing you do when you get home is open the hood and appreciate that finely engineered power plant. The second thing you do is get a beer and keep appreciating.
you can set a glass of water down on the intake manifold at idle and there's no ripples
you can rev to limiter as many times as you want and not worry.
you can ride your Max at over 6000 rpm every single day at least 5 times a day, for the past 1825 days (5 years) and still not worry about a thing other than oil changes.
WOT at 6600rpm in third gear going 130mph(automagic)without a fear of death
your able to star in one of the greatest videos of all time, "The Pike Full".
the guys at the road course can't believe you're driving a Maxima and passing them like they're in Yugos.
you pass a ES 300 and you are at 3/4 throttle and laughing at him while he is at WOT and still losing
you find yourself spending more money on gas than food.

...thought the thread was dead...

You know your a Max driver when you're flying to Vegas and the plane taking off feels like your car launching at a stoplight.

...when you launch on some kid in a Ford Ranger and he won't even make eye contact at the next light.
...when some fool in an SUV tries to run you off the road, so you run up on him and he can't lose you. (true story) The guy almost flipped his Explorer to trying to get away. It took me a week to convince my wife to get back in the car with me.

when doing 30 in a 35 zone with a ton of cops at 1am and ur afraid to touch the pedal cause u know ur gonna pass 50

when u pull into a parking lot with Beamers, Benzes and exotics and u still think ur Max is the sh!t!

when always keep a roll of paper towels and windex in ur car

when u pull up to ur driveway on a sunny day and dont go in for 30 min cause ur cleaning ur Max

when u look forward to merging into a highway....hehe

when ur proud gettin out of ur car even though it was made in '93

Re: Re: You know you're a Max driver when?

when you absolutely need to get 4dsc decals for your rear side windows just to get a kick out of people looking and wondering what it means.

when your max looks completely stock but sounds mean as hell.

when you can get 30mpg on the hiway in a v6!

when you can spit fire out of the exhaust on your n/a.

when your friend who is building an sr20 powered 240sx keeps insisting on driving your maxima, albeit if it's just around the block.

when you can fit 10 people in your car.

when your parents dont want you to sell it because you've just grown up enough to get a "family car"

when a supra pulls up to you, slows down to match your speed, and starts revving (someone actually knowledgeable about the power of the max!)

thanks guys for bringing back my maxima pride! im bookmarking this place so i can always come back when i have doubts about changing rides, so i can re-assure myself about how good and nice this car really is, and how very few cars within a $10,000 price gap can't match it's performance, looks, sound, space, gas mileage and overall specs.
