For automatics, torque converter is what helps your transmission go through all the changes in order for you to move. Basically, and just speaking in general(not specific), it creates the pressure needed for the transmission to shift from one gear to the next.

Don't have any prices for you. Just go onto a site and research. You should be able to find it quickly. I don't know too much on torque converters to offer any advice to you. Sorry.

Have you tried Speedworld in Queens. They are located on Queens Blvd. You can also try this place:

Planet Auto Toys
72-09 Queens Blvd
Woodside, NY 11377
718 426-8500

Incidentally, Speedworld is one block up from this place on the opposite side.

Hey i heard some rumor about the AEM CAI... Can someone please explain? I heard if you install a cai in a automatic transmission car it will lose power, like when you drive it in local streets... but if you drive it in highways which will give you power... ex. if drive in low rpm cai will not kick in, but you lose power than oem intake system... in order to kick in the cai you have to drive in high rpm... I don't know if this is true... please reply... Thanks...

I've never heard of that rumor and of a car stalling for that matter. Probably whoever told you that, didn't take the necessary steps to properly set up the car to the new feature. Like what I told you about resetting the ECU before operating the vehicle. I wouldn't worry about stalling if you do it right.

To be honest, since your car is automatic, I don't believe you would be using them to their potential. It would be more suited to a manual car. But this is just my opinion, don't know for fact that this is the case.
