Exclamation Looking for a used car...

So im an 18 year old soon-to-be tech student and im looking for a new car to take to school in august.
i only have about 3k to spend because of a small budget, plus the $2000 ill get from selling my 2000 acura tl.
im looking mainly for import cars and i may make an exception for a Dodge Ram 1500.
so far ive considered:
Nissan 240sx, Nissan 300zx, Honda Civic EX or SI, Mitsubishi Eclipse gst, and a few others. as of now im leaning towards a 300zx. its gotta be manual.
anyone have any other suggestions?

oh and by the way, im moving from milwaukee,wi to down south, so its gotta make the drive.

The Civic Si will have higher insurance rates. As for cost ease of repair and simple upkeep, the Civic's would be your best bet. They will offer better gas mileage, and should be easier to find in your price range. Next would be the 240 for my list.

thanks.
my dad will pay half the cost if i buy a honda or acura so i could probably get a newer one...
and plus, im studying in the Honda PACT program so upkeep will be easier that way.
