Retractable rear cargo shade tension unloaded

This may sound crazy but my fully extended cargo shade in my 03 Suburban somehow came undone and all the spring tension was released. For the life of me I can’t figure out how to put the preload back into it. Crazy! Any ideas?

Is this the "window shade" cover behind the rear seat?
