If your car has the trunk/gas release connected to the driver side door paneling, then I can tell you from experience that it is easier to run it up the passenger side. I just ran mine under the passenger side front carpet and from there up under the paneling. I removed the paneling (all just snaps into and out of place), but you can probably get away with just prying it up enough to cram the power wire up underneath it. There's really nothing you can hurt by doing that.

Advice: Don't be afraid to pull off all the bottom paneling from dash to trunk and run your wires along side pre-existing wiring. I did that for my sub/amp and the only place you see the wiring is in the trunk . Some folks say you can pick up a low hum by running power next to audio, but I can't hear any. Also on my 99 Civic, the handles for the trunk and gas can be pulled off allowing for easier removal of the drivers side paneling.

where ever you run it be sure to run the RCA's away for your power lead. That will definitly mess with the sound

Re: where is the best place to run power wire...

dont be afraid to remove the seats and run a low power line (not a 4 guage amp line) dowl the center hump of the car, this is how I like to run RCAs and other small wires to the rear, keeps me from having to rout them across the driver/passenger floorboards.

down the passenger side of the car. Underneath the door plates and tuck it underneath the panneling.

I have always done it, it is a common way to get interference into the system if they are together and you have a high current load.

Re: where is the best place to run power wire...

If you aint got noise... have good RCAs then there is nothing to worry about. I just do it myself out of habit since I have run into it in the past.
