88 Suburban Won't Start
A while ago, I had the wires by the starter fixed because of a similar problem and now it is doing it again. This time, it started with the battery not staying charged. Battery and alternator both tested perfect. Sometimes there was enough to start and sometimes not. While jumping the truck one day, cables fell and touched. Occasionally, the electricals will work, but as soon as I go to crank it over, the whole system shuts off. Any ideas?

Also need to know if gauge or red light for alternator?
If red light does it come on key on? And go off or stay on engine running? If gauge are you getting voltage to alternator sall wire key on or engine running to engauge alternator charge?
