Brake issues with my 96 jetta 2.0
brakes started acting up few days ago.could pump brakes and they would grip buy if you put steady pressure they went to floor.now they dont even do that goes to floor every time.any one know what may be causing this?bled brakes in front and no leeks visible.

Sounds like the master cylinder. Possibly the O-rings that seal the piston are gone, so the fluid just passes back around it instead of going out through the line. Might want to double-check in a VW forum. VWVortex is very active.
