95 Grand Cherokee Limited alarm?

I have just got a 95 grand Cherokee limited. I knew when buying it from my folks it had issues and from what i can tell it is this random alarm issue i keep reading about. this is what happened:

My Dad accidentally put the wrong key into the door. Since this time the jeep has experienced the stalling out while driving, accelerating slowly and just not starting some times plus battery being drained (I think from this issue). Also occasionally the lights going on and off at the worst point. It is to the point it cant be used.

Long story short it matches the other posts. what i want to know is this. Can i go to the dealer or a mechanic and they just remove the stupid thing with out me having to ground wires or ME having to do anything to it myself? I know nothing of cars i just want to drive this thing and pay some one to fix it with out "fixing" a bunch of crap that isn't really the issue.
