Fiat 131 Abarth [Revell]
Hi Guys!
It's been a long time since I post some work. Been off modeling for few years and finally was able to use some free time to go back to my work bench. I am working on Fiat 131 Abarth by Revell. I've build this car some time ago and decide to rebuild it as it was not good at all. It was disassembled long time ago and luckily some spare time was found to finish it. Aim is to build a rally/race car without any specific livery, with a little detailing. Here's what I've done so far. Body was stripped and I sand it down preparing for painting. Chassis was already painted with not much changes so far. Engine with some modifications and details added. There is more work done already. Will post progress soon. Re: Fiat 131 Abarth [Revell]
Hi guys!
Another update. Body is painted waiting for polishing, decals and clear coating. Bonnet and roof wing was also done but I didn't do white layer before applying red and the color didn't match with body. Shortcut didn't pay off :| There is still some work to be done to make the colour transition smooth. Chassis with some details added, almost done just few bits missing. I'm working now on the rollcage, when it's done engine will get on it's place and whole drive will be mounted. Seats sprayed with flat black and some structure added. For me best way to do it is simple use of flour (whatever you have in kitchen). Quick layer of paint (the one you will use for top coat of the seat), flour through a fine sieve, remove excess and final layer of paint. For me that works just fine. Side panels also ready. Dashboard nearly finished, I will only add some heater knobs. Next one soon. Thanks for watching! Last edited by Brat_R; 07-15-2017 at 08:49 AM. |
