Help! Need pillar molding for Estate Wagon
Help!
I bought a beautiful non-wooded silver/blue RM a week ago with 75, 000 miles. I drove it home to Grand Rapids Michigan from north of Chicago. I drove through a fairly strong windstorm, and apparently the pillar molding on the front rear post passenger side was poorly mounted and came off. I have spent three days trying to find a replacement with no success. Even if I can't match the color, I could remount the piece and then put black or chrome covers on them both so they'd be the same. I would be very grateful for some help here! If I can't replace the piece, what else could I do? JohnRS |

What year wagon?
Wayland? I did a job in Wayland once (Dean / Bay Valley Foods). That's a pretty good poke from Chicago, and I'm west of that by another 80+ miles.

That's a little tougher, with only '93-96 being compatible. That would be the "B" pillar in case you go hunting for one.

Re: Help! Need pillar molding for Estate Wagon
I found the pillar molding at a Lansing junk dealer -- they had two poor old wagons on the lot.
They say that thousands of perfectly usable LT1's were crushed under Obama's "cash for clunkers" program (IMO fiasco). Now all I have to do is find somebody to match the paint and put it on the car. (It's tan/gold; my RM is light silver/blue. |
