Vauxhall Zafira electric windows problem

Hi I parked my Zafira at a large event car park (02) in London last Saturday.
I no my car a was locked and all the windows shut when I left the car. On retuning all the windows where half down fortunately nothing was stolen but rain did get in all the seat where wet.

Subsequently, I have found out that if you hold the open button on the key fob for more than 5 sec second this will wind down all the electric windows.

So what happened? Either I accidently pressed the open button downs as I walked away form the car or some other electrical signal or key for another car caused this to happen.

Any ideas? And can this functionality be disabled?

Thanks
Scott

Re: Vauxhall Zafira electric windows problem

Hi mate its a programming fault on newer Zafira`s and Astra`s, they pick up interference from other peoples keys, you need to have comfort opening disabled in the REC, any decent vauxhall dealer should know what your talking about, hope this helps, John.
