06 Honda Ridgeline

During the superbowl i saw a commercial for the ridgeline. that's the ugliest pickup ever. the titan is better-looking than this! Its comming out in march 1. Its redesigned from the SUT concept.

Re: 06 Honda Ridgeline

^Ya it has my vote for ugliest and most unpickup of '05 It gets it's frame from one of their SUV I don't remember witch one I think the CRV and the CRV got it from their minivan. So the "truck" or so they say rides on a minivan platform with a transversily mounted engine(like a front wheel drive car).

Re: 06 Honda Ridgeline

They should have kept it in Japan or over in Europe too; but definently not in the states. They should stick to making motorcycles, atvs, cars, and the occasional SUV. Personally I'm a Honda guy, but if I was going to buy a truck I certainly wouldn't buy one from Honda.

yeah i hate the styling on that thing. Honda has great cars but i think they are going to have a tough time selling trucks in the U.S.

Well, I guess I'm the odd one out, but I like it. I know its built on the Odessey platform, but its pretty capable off road. I mean, don't try to haul your boat with it. I am still trying to get pas the fact that such a big truck has a V-6. I think its the same one in the Odessey (both 255 HP V6's). But I like it none the less.

Re: 06 Honda Ridgeline

it wont tow much because of its frame construction and the fact that it uses double wishbones all around but it has a bigger payload capacity than the tundra or silverado(so i heard). i saw one or two so far and they are SMALL. holy crap if it was big i would kinda like it but its like tacoma sized.

It's the truck for those who hate trucks, and want to pay more for less. Ten to one bet you can buy a Ford, Chevy, Dodge, Toyota, or Nissan truck and do plenty more with it, for as much if not less than what they charge for that glorified car.

And the styling - well, it obviously appeals to some, but to me, it lacks cohesiveness and strength, seemingly the product of a team that couldn't quite decide on an aesthetic theme and so incorporated several. Pardon me, but the Ridgeline looks like a girlie truck, where competitors like the Dodge Dakota have the masculine cues that most pickup buyers, men and women, seem to want and which befit a vehicle that by definition and tradition is tough and capable of hard work..."
