Re: Kits from UGears?

I built one of the locomotives, great fun and complex construction.
Quite easy if you just take care loosing the parts as small pieces may break otherwise.
Took me about three evening to build.

Re: Kits from UGears?

I got the kit this morning. The hardest parts are the toothpicks and rubber bands. The chassis is almost finished after about 8 hours.

Any suggestions for lubrication that doesn't harm plywood? Candle wax doesn't work.

Re: Kits from UGears?

I used candle wax on my locomotive and it works fine.
I lit a tea candle and dropped molten wax on every part that needed lubrication. When hard again I mounted the parts, sometimes I had to kind of drill the axle in place.
But everything runs nice and smooth.
