'16 Cherokee rims/tires

Good Morning folks,

Current ride (new) is a 2016 Cherokee Sport Altitude with 18x7 rims and Continental 225/55x18 tires - not pleased with the Continentals. Nice touring tires but don't seem to tolerate road debris very well. I've got my sights on a set of Kumho Crugen 235/60x18 tires but even the dealer didn't know if they'd fit in the wheel wells without rubbing. Told me nobody has ever wanted to change tire sizes before so they didn't have any idea. I've had Kumho tires before and they seemed to be pretty much bullet proof so that is my personal point of reference. Any input/ideas would be much appreciated. Peace.

According to Discount Tire, those will fit.

225/55/18 are 27.74" in diameter
235/60/18 are 29.10" in diameter You're also gaining 10mm (.39") in width

As far as fitment goes I don't know what kind of clearances you have. The only real way you'd know is with a test fit.
