Camaro ss or 2004 GTO
Hello everyone, a while back I was gonna buy a used z28 but instead chose to wait. Now my choices are a 1998-2000 camaro SS or leasing a new GTO. My questions are, which is really faster and has better handling, and is leasing a car really worth it or not. Also which would you guys chose if you had the choice and why? thanks for the replies. Also is buying the SS instead better for investment reasons or not?

i think a camaro would probly handle better, but the new GTO's are nice. they are rated as a 14.0 sec car, but can easily achieve mid to low 13's stock. I drove a new GTO about 2 weeks ago it's a nice car, and has an awesome sound.

Re: Camaro ss or 2004 GTO
GTO has the same drivetrain as a Camaro, LS1 tranny etc. But would you rahter drive a boat or a spors car???
BTW DON'T lease the damn thing, you are better off buying a used car, then paying money for a car you DON'T EVEN OWN. |

Re: Camaro ss or 2004 GTO
all the difference the GTO had on the outside to a standard run of the mill two door sedan was the hood and the emblems so why should the new goat be more unique looking for its time?

Re: Camaro ss or 2004 GTO
GTO is a kick ass car. ITs even got independant rear suspension. Only some mustangs the vettes come with that.
Ive always liked the Holden Monaro and the GTO has kick ass interior. I say screw the SS. |

Re: Camaro ss or 2004 GTO
The GTO is great but it would have been incredible if it was released when the platform was new the only concern I have is whether we'll get a new suspension assembly of lighter materials because American roads aren't quite as hard on suspension
