$$$as long as you got the cash$$$
As long as you have the cash funds and the time and the right tools, you can do anything pretty much, and if you dont have the tools or the time or the know how, plan on saving up alot of money

well they would have todo all the ecu wireing and other wireing plus make custom engine mounts and brackets, and if they use the just the engine make a adapter plate for the tranny, but if they use the honda tranny than they need to make a custom drive line, im not really sure how much it would cost, but i would say maybe like $8,000

I hope you are kidding... One thing to remember... the Honda engine rotates the opposite direction of a rotary... so that is a problem... YAAAY!!! for spending more money to make something SLOWER!!!! |

hmm.....I hope you are putting that fwd motor in a rwd car, just the sheer stupidity of that kind of swap....i can understand maybe a rwd motor in a rwd car....id rather have a rotary stay a rotary....but for your stupidity in even trying to swap a hUnda motor...........i hope you have the wrost time in your life trying to make it work....and if you do make it work than i will find it in my feeble uncomprehending mind to congradulate you on making it work...

FWD Rx-7,don't sink that low.The rotary engine is good, just needs some extra care in certain areas.Enjoy one of the greatest cars built, stick with the rotary.

Plus, if you're gonna do an engine swap, why put a stupid FWD 4 banger in there? If you're gonna waste your time and money, might as well put an LT1, LS1, or a ford V8 in there and kick some serious ass!

Why the fuck would you want to do that? When you can swap in a 20b for the same price?

The rotary engine can make way more power than the Vtec also the Vtec wieghs probably twice as much as the 13b thats in it. There are street RX7's running times damn near as fast as pure drag hondas so I am baffled as to why you would want to?
My suggestion is sell the Vtec for the 3k that its worth and buy a 20b or at least a 13b-RE engine from an FD.
