Re: McLaren MP4-12C High Sport:
Odd thing about these photos - the photographer published them on his blog last week, then they got picked up by AutoBlog on Friday. Then they went viral with GTSpirit, TeamSpeed and several other picking them up in the next few hours and spreading them around via their websites and Facebook pages.
I took the photographer's blog link and shared it on McLaren Automotive's Facebook page since the content hadn't shown up there and then sometime in the next 12 hours or so my link on their Facebook page disappeared and so did the photographer's own blog post replaced instead with a notice of more images coming soon. My guess is they went live a little early but there's no way of getting this cat back in the bag really. >8^) ER |

Re: McLaren MP4-12C High Sport:
Beautiful!! Any official specs yet? I am very curious as to acceleration. It must be a beast. Is it faster than an F1?
Someone said these were all bought by the same customer. Is this true? I also heard they all went to Miami. |

Re: McLaren MP4-12C High Sport:
Three of them have been spotted in the Coral Gables/Miami area so that story does seem likely. However, one of the white cars has the wider rear plate opening and clear side markers implying that it is not coming to North America.
At 3.1 secs to 60 mph (or 2.8 secs with the Corsa tires) the 12C is already quicker than the F1 up to a certain speed. >8^) ER |

My guess is if they kept going the MP4-12C HS would have won.

Re: McLaren MP4-12C High Sport:
They were not really racing. But even still, the McLaren definitely lifted off the throttle a bit

The white one number 5/5 was sold in Spain. Finally, 10 units were built: 6 for the US, 3 for Europe and 1 for Asia. Chassis number 7 was also sold in Spain. Originally orange, now (wrapped) dark grey. Owned by football-soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?...5184834&type=3 |
