Sunny dashboard light

I have a 92 Sunny and the red dashboard warning now comes on when the ignition is on. When the handbrake is applied it glows brighter. The car recently had a hard rear shunt. Car is in Cyprus, in UK it would have been written off. Hope you can help.

Re: Sunny dashboard light

Hand brake light
Does the symbol on the light look like (!)? If so, the hand brake switch has probably stuck on and allowing residual current to cross the switch
