When can I wax after painting?

Just finished painted my 47 dodge truck.

When is it recommended to give it a protective wax... carnuba probably?

Can depend on the type of paint you used. If the paint is catalized, you could do it within a couple of days with the right products. But if you are going to use a carbauba wax, I agree you should wait at least one month.

Even catalyzed coatings are typically still emitting solvents for 30 days after being sprayed. Adding a wax of any sort is adding an impermeable barrier that prevents those solvents from being emitted which can lead to delamination issues down the road. 30 days is a pretty good rule of thumb.
