Re: Books on the Mclaren - Which ones to get and why

Just got from post the 1996 GT Endurance book.
Great book! I have to study that more closer but so far seems even better than 1997 book was! Great images and even J.J Lehto has seen couple of ones! Very much recomended!

By the way; 1997 GT Endurance book is again on sale at EBAY, this time some singatures included.

£180 that's more than what I paid for the [much rarer and sought after] Michael Cotton book with signatures in it

Re: Books on the Mclaren - Which ones to get and why

Who owns the 1997 book GT Endurance and can make scans from the Gulf Davidoff cars in the Fia GT race at Spa, and if there are some pics from the weird start crash with, would be really nice to see.
I would appreciate it very much, thanks.

If these pics are worth the book, I'll search for it to buy one.

Re: Books on the Mclaren - Which ones to get and why

Sorry, but there isn't a single picture of what you are looking for in the chapter on Round 5 at Spa in that book.

The only photo that has any of the Gulf GTRs in it (besides the one on the cover) is an almost identical shot taken from a much lower position on the track as the cars were coming down the straight towards Eau Rouge.

Re: Books on the Mclaren - Which ones to get and why

Just bought one of the 1000 limited editions [signed by the author William Taylor] of Mclaren - The Cars 1967-2008. It comes in a protective slipcase -

Re: Books on the Mclaren - Which ones to get and why

Is anyone familiar with a publication fitting this description?

Quote:
A Japanese book about the size of a small photo album. Apparently this was a special publication from the Ueno Clinic, and is a history of the 1995 Le Mans effort, with some fantastic photos.

Re: Books on the Mclaren - Which ones to get and why

Just found this (echoing Eriks post somewhat)

Sadly Japanese is not part of my polyglottal armoury, so I could only enjoy the pictures.
I think I need this book

Re: Books on the Mclaren - Which ones to get and why

That's exactly where I got it from Greg. I just truncated it as some of the additional comments were less relevant. It's the only mention I can ever recall of such a book and I'd love to see it as well, of course.
