89 Cutlass to 96 gage swap

Does anyone know if you can install the 1989 cutlass instrument cluster w/ all the gages into a 1996 Cutlass with the standard speed-temp-fuel setup? The 89 cluster is physically the same as the 96 but I don't know if the computer will work with it.

Thanks

Re: 89 Cutlass to 96 gage swap

welcome to AF.

I dont believe the 89 and 96 ICP's are physicaly the same cluster.
ALso the plug ins are not the same, so pin layout would be different.
ECU's are not the same either.

But nothings impossible, if you realy want it to work.
You'd need a wire diagram for both and match up the wires.
Not fun by any means

good luck
