Re: 991 Stinger Turbo GTR

Thank you guys!
I don't sure about resin copies because it requires a lot of efforts and money for me.
Little update. The 3D model of the front fenders for CNC milling was done.

Re: 991 Stinger Turbo GTR

It's impossible. As you can see above the Welly's body is changed by CNC milling. For me the main problem is to make a resin copy of a body.

A joint venture with an another forum member would be ideal.

Re: 991 Stinger Turbo GTR

Beautiful work, Mikhail. I love the fixtures to machine the parts, and the CNC work is phenomenal.

Re: 991 Stinger Turbo GTR

Great work on the fender. How did you fixture the fender so that you could machine both sides? Where was the Zero point of reference on the fender?

Beautifully machined.

Re: 991 Stinger Turbo GTR

Mike, face surfaces of the fenders have a little machining allowance. After gluing of the fenders the body will be installed on the yellow device in the same fixed position and then the final milling will be done. The same technology was applied on the rear fenders.

Great progress so far.
Your wide range of using techniques are fabulous.
Where do you work now after the disband of Marussia?

Re: 991 Stinger Turbo GTR

Thank you guys!
mwhh: After Marussia's bankruptcy I'm working in NAMI. Currently I have been involved in a creation of luxury cars for Russian government and for open market.
BTW. The front fenders were final milled on CNC. The left door was matched to the body, the door gaps were decreased.

The new front seats were 3D printed by using of a scan of a real one.

This is the comparison with the Welly's seat.
