Climate Control Issue
I would appreiciate any feed back that I can get here. I am having a problem with the heating and A/C. When either is on I get what either heat or A/C for a minute or two but then it changes to the other, basically outside air. I dealt with it during the summer and last winter but I dont want to freeze again this winter. If it were just one or the other I could make a few guesses as to where to look but with it being both the heat and the A/C I am at a loss here. thank you for the assitance.

Re: Climate Control Issue
Welcome to the forum!
Heated coolant is always flowing through the heater core. A blend door regulates the temperature. The heated air is blended with different amounts of unheated air to control the temperature. Various doors in the heater control the amount of air going to the upper and lower outlets and the defrost. All of the heater and A/C controls are by vacuum to a stepper motor. Check all the vacuum connections to the heater/AC controls. Move the control lever all the way from the left to the right. If the lever stops before it gets to the end and bounces back the control cables are out of adjustment. |
