Cigarette lighter dash plate removal

How can I remove the dashboard plate that hold the cigarette lighter and auxiliary power plug? The door to the power plug is jammed halfway open and won't open or close all the way. If it can't be fixed I would like to remove it.

Thanks

Dang.. the 2000 FSM is worthless for the panel you mentioned. See for yourself if you wish, I'm heading over to your PM system to send you my FSM download link.
